Reuse
The useful life of a reservoir or tank may be prolonged in a number of ways, producing resultant cost savings.
Existing tanks are often enlarged to meet the demand for greater storage capacity. Upsizing an existing tank is the most cost-effective alternative in these situations, equating up to a 40% saving over the construction of a new tank.
Meanwhile Timbertanks which have become surplus to original requirements are being recycled; by either being onsold, refurbished, relocated or moved to another location on-site to allow for plant expansion.
